Pretty Boy. Money. The Best Ever. Floyd spent the better part of 2 decades cementing his legacy as one of the most skilled fighters to lace the gloves. When it was all said and done, he walked away from the sport undefeated at 50-0 with 26 World Title wins in 5 different weight divisions and having generated over $1B in career earnings.

As an amateur, Floyd won 3 U.S. Golden Gloves Championships and a U.S National Championship at Featherweight. He represented the USA in the 1996 Olympics and took home the Bronze medal after losing a highly controversial gold medal match. It would be the last time Mayweather would taste defeat inside the ring.

After winning his first 17 professional bouts in dominating fashion, Mayweather would go on to challenge and defeat Genaro Hernandez for the WBC Super Featherweight strap in October of 1998. Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeats Oscar De La Hoya by split decision to capture the WBC Super Welterweight belt and a world championship in a 5th weight division.

The fight sold a record 2.4 million PPVs generating over $130M. It would prove to be the fight that crossed Floyd Mayweather Jr. over into a global attraction an domestic PPV superstar. All hail the birth of โ€œMoneyโ€ May.

After coming off a stunning victory over Adrien Broner, Marcos Maidana threw his hat into the Mayweather sweepstakes and got the opportunity of a lifetime.

Maidana tried to steal the fight in the early rounds with relentless pressure and occasionally landing cleanly with chopping overhands. Floyd remained composed and began to take Maidana apart midway through the fight and won via majority decision.

Mayweather vs McGregor - August 26, 2017

In an announcement that surprised everyone, Floyd and Conor met in a match that pitted boxingโ€™s undisputed PPV king vs MMAโ€™s #1 P4P. After 10 rounds, Floyd stopped a gassed Conor in what turned out to be an entertaining fight.

The fight sold 4.3M PPVs, making it the 2nd highest grossing bout in Boxing history.
